Along the entire value chain, we combine the competencies of our five business areas - Food, Packaging, Product Performance, Processing Machinery, as well as Recycling and Environment - to develop optimal results across all disciplines.
Our Services
Food, Packaging, Processing Machinery, Product Performance as well as Recycling and Environment
From the ingredient to the finished product, we develop high quality and safe food products from alternative and sustainable protein sources for healthy consumption and support you in all food safety issues.
We develop recyclable packaging made of biopolymers as well as sustainable packaging concepts and offer a wide range of quality assurance services including conformity testing of food packaging.
We analyze and optimize packaging machinery and cleaning processes used in the food and pharmaceutical industries and also for packaging material production.
We support you in the development and optimization of products with sensory properties that address consumer needs in an optimal way. Thus, your products will benefit from a higher consumer acceptance.
We offer you innovative recycling processes to recover pure polymers. In addition, we support you in developing bio-based technical products to replace fossil raw materials with plant-based ones. Furthermore we carry out environmental analytical studies for you.
Biotechnology: Sustainability that works on an industrial scale
Bio-based ester oils for hydraulic applications and natural UV filters derived from algae: In two current projects, we demonstrate how biotechnology can be used to precisely control industrial processes – efficiently, sustainably, and in a circular manner.
We are pleased to announce that Angela Störmer has been appointed as a member of the Commission for Consumer Products of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR). She will strengthen the work of this committee with her many years of experience in the field of the migration of substances into food and other filling materials, as well as conformity assessment.
From May 7 to 13, we will be presenting comprehensive technology solutions in Hall 4, Booth C54 that help support the packaging industry in transforming linear value chains into closed material cycles.
Extracts from macroalgae containing phlorotannins have antimicrobial and antioxidant properties.
In our new research project “PEARL,” we are using these extracts to develop innovative methods for keeping food fresh longer in a natural way. Both effectiveness and practicality for industrial use play an important role in this project.
