From all directions:
Travel on the A92 autobahn to the exit "Freising Süd" and take the B11 road in the direction of Freising. After 4 km leave the B11 in the direction of Pulling. Travel a further 1.5 km and in Pulling cross the train tracks and follow the "Pullinger Haupstraße" in the direction of Freising. Drive a further 2.5 km and once in Freising turn right into "Giggenhauserstraße". The Fraunhofer IVV is on the right after 500 m.

Airplane

If you are coming from Munich airport, either take a taxi to the institute (ca. € 30) or take the bus 635 to Freising station.

By public transport

From Munich travel on the S-Bahn (line S1 in the direction of Freising) or alternatively catch a DB train to Freising. (At Munich Main station the S1 trains depart from the underground platforms, the DB trains in the direction of Freising depart overground on platforms 25-27) Timetable informations are available at all stations.

From the station at Freising you have three ways of getting to the Fraunhofer IVV:

by bus 638 (alight at the Fraunhofer Institute stop)
on foot (takes about 45 minutes)
by taxi (ca. € 8)

Directions Dresden

The rooms of the Division Processing Technology and the Conference Center in Dresden can be reached via the central entrance of the building at Heidelberger Straße 20.

Car

On the A17, take the Südvorstadt exit and follow Innsbrucker Straße/B 170 in the direction of Dresden. Follow the road for about 800m and turn left at the traffic lights into Stuttgarter Straße. Follow this road for about 2 km and then turn right into Heidelberger Straße. After approx. 200m the building is on the left side.

Airplane

From Dresden International Airport, take the S 2 in the direction of Pirna to the main railway station (trains usually run every 30 minutes). From there you can also continue by bus/train or taxi.

Local public transport

You can reach us from the main station by tram line 3 (direction Coschütz) or bus line 66 (direction Freital Burgk). After 9 stops (approx. 14 minutes journey time) get off at the Coschütz stop.

Walk along Karlsruher Straße towards the city centre. Turn into Mannheimer Straße and follow it until you reach Heilbronner Straße. Continue straight on to the next intersection and turn right into Heidelberger Straße. After about 400m you will find the building on the right hand side.
