If recycled materials from packaging waste are to be used to make new packaging, they must conform to legal requirements. Yet how do we know whether post-consumer recyclates are suitable for this? Dr. Frank Welle has investigated this question for cosmetics packaging. In cooperation with partners from industry, he has now developed a new guideline for the use of polyolefin recyclates. In addition, we are also carrying out screening tests on the use of recycled materials and to assess their quality. This identifies whether the recyclates contain any substances liable to migrate. Don’t hesitate to get in contact if you would like us to help you enhance your recycling processes!
